The Hopfen-Kontor brand was founded by the agricultural company Schmailzl, from Oberhartheim. Martin Schmailzl's family business has now been growing hops for four generations.
Most of the Schmailzl family's hop gardens have droplet irrigation. This compensates for adverse weather, thus guaranteeing a good harvest.
The normal dry hops have been successfully marketed for years and the new Special WetHOP is a completely novel, innovative way to process hops.
